Trapper's Sushi - Phoenix

Likely will never order or eat from here again. Order was very poorly packaged and by the time it arrived to me it was all mixed together and basically inedible. Super disappointed in the packaging and the quality is not that great for the price. I ordered two specialty rolls which were around $16 each, the Thrill and the Release the Kraken. Scallops were small - probably farmed and not fresh, and overcooked based on how tough they were. The tuna tasted very fishy as well - not in a good way. Both rolls were drenched in spicy mayo though, to the point where each individual flavor was almost impossible to discern. Overall, the Thrill roll was okay and I picked at the octopus from the Kraken but my cat wouldn't even eat the tuna and I threw most of that roll away. The edamame (not pictured) also tasted fishy and was undersalted, but it was only $3 so ????‍♀️. I've definitely had better before though. I have been in the music business for 20 years and have eaten sushi all over the world and I would recommend this place to anyone!! Great food, nice staff, and a beautiful presentation!! Reasonably priced too!!

This was out first visit and let me tell you this food was amazing. Our server Michael was great. We came before a game and was seated quickly. He got us water right away. He asked us about our likes and dislikes to give us some great recommendations ! The hornitos berry sunrise which was good and the Blueberry drop lemonade was my favorite. The shisito peppers were good very mild. The gyozas were good their dipping sauces was a little to sweet. We ordered the spicy tuna and the magnificent roll. The spicy tuna was typical just tuna nothing else. I was expecting more heat with the magnificent roll, but it was still really good. Theybdo carry the lower sodium soy sauce just have to ask for it. The shop tempura is the best I've ever had. It was nice and crispy and the shrimp cooked perfectly! They have happy our specials and all you can eat which includes rolls and appetizers. This is a family friendly place not some nightclub which we absolutely enjoyed. All of the staff we polite and
