This is a wonderful little place to sit down for lunch or dinner or just a slice of pie. Fantastic service from everybody (even the host who was brand new). The entire staff was happy, upbeat, friendly, and had their own recommendations from the menu. All of the food was awesome, but don't leave this place without dessert. The only comparison of their dessert that I have is desserts that I've had walking the streets of Paris. Perfect little restaurant with awesome vibes. Classy, yet down to earth. Don't hesitate trying this place. You will not be disappointed.
We absolutely loved our experience at the Dodo. The food was excellent, the service was top notch, atmosphere was great (but a little chilly), facilities were very nice and clean. I wish they took reservations but the wait wasn't terrible. They told us it would be a 70 minute wait and it ended up being closer to 45 minutes. Not ideal but not the end of the world. We were told weekends are crazy busy so we went on a Tuesday night for dinner. I've listed what we got and what we rated the dishes out of 5 stars: 1. Artichoke Dip Appetizer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Worth every penny. Absolutely delicious 2. Blueberry Parmesan Halibut ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very yummy but not worth $36.99 3. Ravioli ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Surprisingly the asparagus in the Ravioli is what really made this dish shine and the tomato basil cream sauce was fantastic! 4. Cajun Seafood Soup ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Flavor wise it was delicious with just the right amount of spice but for $5.99 the portion size is definitely lacking. 5. Blueberry Sour Cream Pie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(+) T
The service and location/ambience made up for what my food lacked. I ordered the Asian chicken pasta. It was just ok. It needed more veggies with it, instead of just a garnish of veggies. And I asked for more sauce because it was just kind of boring. I wish I had ordered the crab & avocado grilled cheese special. Luckily, our server Mary Kate was phenomenal and did everything she could to make it better and gave us a free dessert. We chose the butterfinger cheesecake. It was different than what we were expecting, but still yummy. My side soup (red pepper sea food), though, was fantastic.
