My wife and I had invited dear friends who were visiting from Portland to meet us here. I have never been to Seven Doors but my wife had. It is a well-decorated place and captures some unique design elements. The evening started with us ordering appetizers. One of the appetizers we ordered was calamari. When the order came to the table, the server gave us "cold" chicken tenders instead. That was a harbinger of things to come. The drink orders, with the exception of mine, were all wrong. One of our orders was the Beef "Dino" Rib, which is both a mouth full and an eye full. It is the first photo. The presentation is great and our guest liked it. Only order this if you are really ready to eat a big meal!!! My wife enjoyed her Grilled Scottish Salmon, which was plated well. Our other guest had the Herbed Prime Rib that was not to her liking. It's good food, and an interesting concept to elevate what are normally more casual dishes, like a burger or a french dip sandwich, etc. The problem is, I'm still paying $22 for a sandwich, or $18 for a burger, when I could get a better burger at a dedicated burger joint for less. Host staff were not warm at all, but our server was great. Decor is really cool too, and free valet is a plus since parking can be difficult at Grandscape.
Great location. The service is wonderful from the start. Be sure to ask about the 7 doors. We found all of them. The food was really tasty. The place was busy but didn’t seem too loud. We’ll definitely be back again.
