We went for our anniversary and had a great time. We did the omakase menu (not cheap), but it was a fun experience working with our server and the chef to design a meal we would enjoy. The tuna pizza, toro tartar, octopus, scallops, and fish in beurre bland were our favorites. Worth trying for a special night out.

Absolutely phenomenal. Akira Back has secured a spot in my top 10 restaurants list for life. Excellent service, beautiful environment (without being too haughty), and top notch food. Highly recommend: Hokkaido scallop kiwi 5/5 Beef tartare 6/5 - AMAZING Ikura nigiri 5/5 Toro nigiri 6/5 - would claim otoro Others: Wagyu ribeye 4/5 Salmon nigiri 4/5 Protein roll 3/5 Tuna pizza 3/5 I also have to add that the cocktails are very well-balanced and refreshing, and the drink menu was quite extensive with good basic staples. I have yet to try another Japanese fusion restaurant that finds the right balance of flavors without being overbearing. Chef Back is making a true statement in the restaurant industry. I will be back to do a complete chef curated menu.
