This review is solely based on service, as we did not eat here. My son and I stopped in at 8:10pm on Wednesday, August 10. We stood at the door for about 5 minutes before someone acknowledged us. During this time there were two staff standing at the bar talking (with no customers), and a waiter who was helping at a table. The waiter came over to us and just said "we don't allow minors after 8", and walked away. As he started walking back towards us I asked if there was anything else he could recommend, and he said a name (which I did not catch), and that it was their sister property. I asked how far, and he said 5 blocks, then walked away. No directions, or care in the world. He had 4 tables in the restaurant to serve, and two other staff doing nothing. I am not sure if it is law in Seattle to not allow minors in restaurants after 8pm, but even if so, have a bit of tact in the way that you handle that, and at least make people feel welcome, even if you cannot serve them. Had an awesome bacon cheeseburger here. Good location in downtown Seattle near Pike Place market and the Moore Theatre. Plenty to drink at this dive bar.
We visited later in the evening, after the kitchen closed, and there definitely wasn’t a fun vibe or delicious smelling food that other people mentioned! This place is filthy… it smells like the bedroom of a teenage boy who hasn’t washed for several months, or like it’s used as a homeless shelter overnight. Very much a dive bar and we were keen to finish our drinks and get out!
