Pietro's Italian Restaurant

We discovered Pietro's in Maps while trying to figure out what struck our fancy for dinner back in September 2022. After reviewing the menu and the menu prices, we decided to check it out. When we arrived there toward the tail end of their dinner hours, we noted to the Hostess that we were from an hour or so away and that we were extremely hungry. We were then sat at one of the coziest booths in the Bar area, which was quaintly decorated like an Italian villa, complete with cobalt blue-tiled wooden tables and vibrant terrazzo floor tiles. Our jovial and helpful server that evening ironically happened to be a former Lansing resident, who gave us the walkthrough on the menu, with a few suggestions. We opted the split the two samplers - Lasagne di Pietro & Fettuccine Michael and the Northern Combo (Fettucine Alfredo, Lasagne di Pietro, one Meatball and one Italian sausage) - and an order of Italian Spring Rolls in Basil Plus Sauce. I'm terribly sorry I mistyped our servers name wrong. I have corrected via management. Thank you! This was our first time back in a few years after moving back to GR for work. Food was as amazing as we remember. My husband had the lobster ravioli it was excellent. He also ordered the soup bar and both wedding soup and chowder were very good. Pietro's homemade yeast rolls were warm & delicious. I had the small NY deluxe pizza. The fresh flavors of the pizza were amazing. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Great atmosphere and very cozy. Our server was Huy and he was incredibly professional and on top that very personable! He checked in with a couple of time to ensure everything was to our liking and he always had a smile and was very kind. It made our dining experience perfect.

One of my Grand Rapids favorites. Been visiting for 20+ years. The Fettuccine Michael is still a signature favorite. Love the soup bar. Service was outstanding.
