Picosito Mexican Grill

First time noticing this place as we drove by. As you walk in the place smells clean and the smell of food is inviting. The cashier that took our order happens to be the owner as well. Very nice lady. Had a bit of a chit chat about Sonoran Mexican and chihuahua Mexican food... Anyway... It was two of us eating. We ordered the large Menudo and the #14 rolled tacos and one drink that came with the #14. We spent $19. Not too bad but definitely not what you expect to pay for Mexican food at a shopping strip spot. They were not lying about a large bowl of Menudo so bring your appetite. I must say it tasted more like a bland pozole than actual Menudo. The hominy was overly soft but the actual Menudo meat was good. Had to add some salt a few times but not much of a difference. The rolled tacos were good although they could have used more meat. They were freshly made which was nice. The beans were also fresh not canned and not soupy like other places. I decided to come here after passing by many times, I got menudo to go on a Saturday morning and when I poured it into my bowl I got a surprise big curly black hair. So I returned it to the restaurant and they replied to me, "oh it's menudo that's how it's supposed to be, it has hair in it."To which I replied I'm not stupid I've had menudo plenty of times and I know it sometimes does have little hairs from the cow still on the meat, but I guarantee that long curly black hair was not "part" of the menudo, and I suggested hair nets to the employees at this point they had no response and refunded me. I don't respect an establishment which doesn't even apologize and instead decides to try and lie to its customers. Don't try this place unless you want a surprise like I did, and not a good one.

Paid extra for guacamole and got the smallest half a baby spoon full I've ever seen on both orders of super fries. Tacos were burnt beyond being edible. Menu stated fries come with cheddar cheese and nacho cheese. Both orders only came with way too much nacho cheese, no cheddar. We ordered almost $40 worth of food and got only two tiny half full sides of green and red sauce. Overall terrible dining experience. Will NOT order from here again.
