Hillstone Restaurant

Not gonna lie I was a little sad when my hubby didn’t book a romantic French restaurant for Valentines Day, that I really wanted to try. But turns out this place was open last minute and got us in and it was EXCELLENT!!! The food was amazing, it was romantically lit, the Tuna Tar Tar was unreal!!!! And the service was top notch. Now it’s a place we frequent! We always sit at the bar and Al takes good care of us! Their Bees Knees is amazing, you should try it! It’s definitely a place that we eat ate at least once or twice a month. Super great find!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Was debating for a while to leave a review, but I think the people should know. Tldr: Had a reservation yet still waited 20 minutes past our time, chefs used their personal phone and put it on cutting board (didn’t clean afterwards plus used their bare hands..), chefs ate food right off the cutting board, and manager was not attentive after we had voiced these concerns & said it was even our two ur anniversary. My bf and I came here for our two year anniversary lunch with a reservation, when we got there, we had to wait an extra 20 minutes in order to get seated. During these twenty minutes, one of the chefs kept making eye contact with me, then when he talked to another chef, the other chef started looking at me. After this, the same chef that was looking at me before had used his phone (without gloves) and showing his coworker something. He then put his phone down on the cutting board, without a thought of how many germs is on his phone and is now on that same wooden cutting board. D

I was definitely pleased with the service and atmosphere. Hillstone is an upscale yet affordable location for lunch and dinner, accompanied by drinks and conversation. Their menu is rather interesting, though. I thought they would have more variety, although I was still satisfied with their options. I'm simply only being constructive. I found it interesting that they did not have ranch, truffle oil, truffle butter, biscotti for my espresso, and port wine as an after dinner drink.
