El Alteño Mexican Grill

This is my go-to local Mexican spot. Staff is always super friendly, service is prompt and food is great. Its a quaint little spot that treats you right.

If you have time to sit, go ahead and enjoy a decent hot meal. It was good and I left full. Portions are large!

I wanted to say that not all the food was like mine. I can only talk about My dish. I ordered their steak burrito. It needs help. They over cooked the steak or used left over steak. Either way it was like chewing on hard tiny meat nuggets. No seasoning. The Queso dip was running and lack flavor. I did not want to cause a scene in front of my friends. I wished I went some where else but they love this place. I did call to speak to the owner in hopes they will improve and cook fresh steak med rare to med so that it would be tender and for goodness sake. PLEASE season your food. The chips and tomato water was lacking body. Owner please taste your food and make sure it is to your standards. It is slacking hard. Soon people will stop coming. I hope for the best for you. I love these places and hate it when it slips in quality. I'm out $25 for the night. Will not do that again. If it improves please let me know. Staff was ok. Not great but so so.
