Delicious. Inventive. Fun. Comal 864 is all these things and more. The owner is a fiery Latina who takes the food she loved from her Texas border town birthplace and recreates it for the league of fans that have followed her from her pop-up days. This modest taco shop includes a menu that changes and evolves, inspired by her customers requests. Head to this downtown gvl adjacent restaurant to enjoy some amazing food. (And if you require extra lime wedges - JUST be a grown up and ASK ????????)
Incredible, authentic food served by friendly staff— and just a few blocks off the swamp rabbit trail. They have outdoor seating as well. This place is a hidden gem: don’t miss out!
Just went for the first time yesterday but will definitely be back. I had wanted to try birria for a while now since it's been all over social media. I had the birria quesitacos and they were amazing, so much flavor. My husband had the birria pizza and loved it too.
