Woodside Bistro

We did not have a great experience here. We came late night like after 8pm and the place wasn't horribly busy but the service was slow and really bad. We had to ask for a menu after waiting over 10 mins and then we asked a question about the daily special that took well over another 10 mins to get an answer. The food itself was good to great. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was delicious, the shrimp and grits were very good, the Mac and cheese was bland, the fried shrimp and catfish were tasty and the drinks were good. Not sure if we would give this place a second chance based on the mostly averagely good food and horrible service.

Okay I've never had Brussel sprouts I've really liked before. Until last night. These were awesome, and everything else was fantastically delicious. Half chicken, and shrimp and grits with a she-crab-esque style sauce. The Jamaican jerk pork sandwich is SO GOOD, and we have loved everything we've tried so far. It was a perfect evening to eat outside.

Came for lunch during the workday. It's in a neat spot in a developing area right next to the old Woodside Mill. I had the Short Rib French dip sandwich which was absolute dynamite - best french dip I've had in years. Friendly workers, kind of a young hipster vibe to clientele which fit the location. I will be back for that french dip soon.
