We waited for a chance as we passed, and finally stood in line. It was a long line, but surprisingly our turn came around quickly. We chose the bar table and that was enough. I ordered half a dozen each of charcoal grilled and raw oysters and seafood gumbo and it was delicious! One thing I wonder is, we ordered raw oysters with half a dozen extra, why is there a difference size of oysters between the first and second plates? I would have visited everyday if they had given me big oysters from the beginning. Hahaha
A must stop place to eat while in town. Very very Good alligator, nice and chewy! Great wait staff. They are friendly and make your stay very comfortable … More
post NOLA trip and still thinking about this place! man were the oysters fat and juicy! we were so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint. We made sure to come in earlier like 4:30-5pm so there is not much of a wait. Once ready, we knew we would definitely be getting both raw and charbroiled oysters. Ths Charbroiled ones were cheesy buttery garlicy goodness - so fresh and so much flavor! on our second visit we even had crab meat topping on half of them and they were amazing. For me, the raw oysters are not to be overlooked! with its “rawness” there you can taste how fresh, fat and flavorful these babies are. They are worth every slurp! Im sure all the reviews mention how satisfyingly good the oysters here are so I shall leave it at that and hope whoever is reading this had or will have the same satisfaction that we did or perhaps an even more amazing experience! Its also my first time trying the alligator bites and they were pretty good. I prefer not to eat “exotic” meats
