My husband and I went here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and were treated amazingly! We were led to a table in the back, in private, with a great view of the riverwalk, and they even gave us complimentary champagne and dessert!! We had GREAT service and it really made our anniversary so so special. Thank y’all for making our experience amazing!! Can’t recommend it enough!

Let me start with a sort of sense of direction when going to this restaurant. I took the easiest way for me to get there, and it was going through the entrance from the Westin Hotel in downtown San Antonio. Once you enter the hotel, you take a left and then walk all the way down to the hall, and you will see up right a sign for Zocca Restaurant. You can either go down on the stairs next to the sign, or you can take the elevator and press the riverside button. At the entrance this restaurant has a bar with very nice and friendly staff. They have two settings, one indoors and the other one outdoors right next to the river. The food is good, and the server was not over us asking us for what was next on your table. She really let us enjoy our time without rushing us. I want to say that this restaurant does NOT serve bread with oil as every other Italian restaurant you go to. I was a little disappointed but everything else was good!

There aren’t enough adjectives to describe my disappointment with this restaurant. To begin with, they don’t serve pasta for lunch. What self respecting Italian restaurant doesn’t serve pasta? That’s like McDonald’s not serving cheeseburgers. We arrived at 1:30 pm and ordered a pizza and sandwich by 1:40 pm. There were maybe 6 to 8 tables of customers and less than half a dozen people at the bar. The restaurant was 75% empty. Despite this — and the simplicity of our order — it didn’t come out of the kitchen until 2:20 pm (they close at 3 pm). By that time I had enough and told the waitress we were leaving and would not be eating or paying for the food. We left and found a real Italian restaurant shortly thereafter. If a kitchen is this dysfunctional completing your order, just imagine the conditions of the kitchen. The only positive was the location, but plenty of places along the river walk have the same view. Avoid this “restaurant” at all costs.
