Ostra Restaurant

I have an affinity for delicious food and amazing service. Those two things are harder and harder to find, and are especially harder to find together. Ostra excels in both of those areas. We ordered the East Coast Oysters, the Scallops, and the Tuna, and oh my gosh, every bite was delectable. The oysters were some of the best we have ever had. They were so good that we went there 3 nights in a row just for the oysters. The scallops and Tuna were cooked perfectly and the sauces and vegetables that accompanied were a pleasant surprise to the palate. I was in the River Walk area for 5 days and the food at Ostra was hands down the best I had. Our server was Jorge. He was incredibly attentive and personable and was knowledgeable about the menu. If he is working when you visit, ask to sit in his section. Since we were so impressed with our experience, we asked to meet the chef. Highlights were the salmon, chicken, and redfish. one person ordered the vegan cauliflower steaks. It was delicious, but she was still hungry. service was great. Interesting drink menu with full bar. Desserts looked good, but I was too full. Vegetarian options: the salmon on a bed of spinach was amazing

Great experience! Start with the tuna tacos. The scallops or steak are total winners! Absolutely amazing food and Nicholas is amazing! We are so picky, but he made the night perfect!! Amazing food and great service! Don't pass this place up!
