Biga - San Antonio Riverwalk Restaurant

The ambience is wonderful. Right on the riverfront. The food was amazing. Our waiter Nick was knowledgeable, caring and thorough. I have many food issues and he went over and above to be sure I was safe and taken care of. I greatly appreciated that! I had the Thai Salmon and it was perfect. My daughter had the chicken dish and she loved it. It was my daughter’s birthday so they brought over a beautiful dessert dish with a candle wishing her a happy birthday! So nice! I HIGHLY recommend.

We chose to make a reservation at Biga on the banks for a birthday dinner, since both my birthday & my husband's are only a few weeks apart. We had dinner reservations for 8:45, and it was ready on time for us to be seated. We had an excellent view of the Riverwalk to enjoy while we ate, as well! Our waiter was informative, and gave us a great rundown on what was currently on the menu for the night. My husband had : Grilled Beet Salad & Baked Scottish Salmon I had: Strawberry & Poppy Seed Salad, Mustard Crusted Australian Lamb rack Both the salads and main courses were so delicious, I've never had lamb that tasted so great. For dessert, we had the Cranberry orange upside down cake which was both airy and tangy. It reminded me or an orange dreamsicle in cake form! I absolutely would return the next time I was in San Antonio. If you're thinking about making a reservation here, do it! This restaurant is one of the best in all of Texas. As a James Beard 7 time nominee, it makes complete sense why our meal was so incredible. Chris was one of the best waiters we've ever had and all of his suggestions were amazing. The chef is hands-down, one of the best in the country. We wished we had extra stomachs so we could try more! Make sure you order the sticky toffee pudding too. It will make you forget about the fantastic meal you just had. Don't be surprised if you walk away from this restaurant drunk off the oxytocin you get from all of the splendid flavors! Vegetarian options: There are several options in the menu to choose from that don't involve meat.
