Two pics. One is hard rice from Zaferan, other is what tahdig should look like. Don’t order tahdig. Overpriced and the worst tahdig I’ve ever ordered. They need to buy new pots or take it off the menu. My family wouldn’t serve this to our most hated guests.
Met here with a woman's group to talk about current women's protests in Iran. The owner was very friendly and accommodating to our women's group. They had paper straws which I'm a huge fan of. Zaferan Cafe is the best Persian food in Salt Lake. I've eaten here 3 times and the food and service are excellent. The kibbedah and kebab platters are seasoned perfectly and are large enough to share. The pomegranate salad is fresh and fragrant and the hummus light and fresh.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They go out if their way to make you feel welcome! Vegetarian options: The pomegranate salad and hummus are amazing
