Werner's Diner and Pub

We stayed within walking distance from out of town. Stumbled upon Werner's and gave it a whirl for breakfast. We were able to walk in and sit immediately, the environment definitelyhas a diner feel. Our server was nice and attentive and the place was clean. Menu for breakfast didn't have as large of a variety as I had thought it would for it being a diner. The homfries were nice size chunks with fried onion, the ham omelet was filled with ham and cheese. It came with toast; however, being at a diner I had to try the hot cakes, it was as big as the plate. Overall the meal was most definitely filling and was good. The prices were pretty decent as well.

This is my first time ordering and I will not be back. I ordered the California grilled chicken sandwich with fried zucchini. The zucchini batter was good but very greasy, my sandwich did not come as it was described on the menu ( no avocado) which is the ONLY REASON I ORDERED THAT SANDWICH, it also had old lettuce on it. It was more expensive than other sandwiches because of the avocado on it. I ate the zucchini at that time and opened my sandwich later and that's when I discovered it was wrong. The young lady that waited on me was so beautiful and as sweet as pie. But when I called to let them know that my order was incorrect I was dismissed and was told there was nothing they could do. I said so I can't have the sandwich made correctly they said no, I should have done something while I was there. Now the sandwich was good but the way this was handled is very disappointing and I will not be a patron or promote.

Classic diner experience just off the path in Inner Harbor. Outdoor seating option. Bloody Mary was nice and spicy. Scrapple was real good (first time trying it). My French Candian mom makes pork pie and the scrapple brought me back in time.
