LoCAL Restaurant and Kitchen

Excellent French food, I can't say enough great things about it. The space is beautiful (the old Chez Hugo) but sadly in Downtown Baltimore which is not a great location right now. Let's all go there as much as we can to help this gem of a restaurant succeed!

Went for Sunday Brunch beautiful restaurant and nice ambiance. Here is where you guys are missing out on giving your Customer's an excellent experience. Firstly our Waitress was wonderful very attentive and personable. You guys need to hire an expediter and a food runner. We were a party of three and everyone's food came at different times. By the time we got our food it was cold. Everything tasted great but if it was served at the same time and hot you would have knocked our socks off. I witnessed a table across from us wait eternally for their food while a table that came in well after them got their food ate and left before these two individuals were served. My intention for eating here was to support a black owned business and I think you can thrive but you definitely need to try and get more staff with specific roles on getting food out to people in a timely manner. Would love to try again when this is addressed.

I wanted to love this place. The service and order of food was so disorganized. The drinks took over 20 minutes to come out. We ordered charcuterie board, that came out AFTER one side of grits (which was a side for one of our entrees) came out. The grits were delicious. The food quality was good and seasoned well but execution of food was inconsistent. Both me and my partner got salmon, the sizes were drastically different. The salmon over cooked. My potatoes came out 15 minutes AFTER they served the entrees. The shortcake from the strawberry shortcake was so hard that I had to force my spoon through it. And dry. The whipped cream was delicious tho. Best bite of the meal was the grits, worst bite was the shortcake. Serve staff needs more training. Things were really disorganized. If 20% gratuity is going to be added to every bill, even for a party of two, the service should make sense.
