Waxy's

An Irish Pub located on the San Antonio River Walk. The food quality, musty smell of the restaurant, and bathrooms were underwhelming. Unfortunately, food took a while to arrive and when it did, party members had to wait while others ate. Additionally, hair and cold food were some surprises experienced while eating. However, the Bangers and Mash tasted good and enjoyed. Not sure why the restaurant smelled, but probably something to fix, especially, when some people can be very sensitive to odours and affected by smells. Just because it’s a pub doesn’t mean the bathrooms need to be dirty, sticky, and smell. This should be an easy thing to maintain… Location is good and our wait time was short.

This place was good and cute. It has a nice vibe and wasn't busy on a Monday night. The service was good and the food was tasty. I liked the salmon plate and the mashed potatoes were on point.

A good joint for Irish Food… the chicken pot pie is a must try… the shrimp was not up to the mark though as per the cost, the Irish Mule cud have been better as well… the ambience is a sure hit! The server was great as well… so it’s a mixed feedback overall !
