Waffle House

I tried to go there with my son for breakfast. We walked in and most of the tables were chained off. No one greeted us or said anything. We stood for several minutes waiting and there appeared to be nothing happening at the restaurant. The other man waiting in front of us it thought that they might have been understaffed. Just some acknowledgment“Hey, it will be just a few minutes “ would have made all the difference.We ended up leaving and going to the Waffle House on Taylorsville rd at browns lane. We had a great experience.

The Waffle House is always great but this morning was great because this older gentleman came in and left his door open on his SUV and I went asked him if he meant to leave it open or not. He said no and as slow moving as he was coming in he didn't seem like he wanted to get up and go out to close the car door so I volunteered. When I went back to his table to ask if he had his keys he let me know that her didn't need a key and that he was paying for my table's breakfast, I said don't worry about it. He finished his breakfast got up to leave and we had a nice little chat about the adventures of getting old before he left. When we were ready to leave our waitress informed us that he had already paid our bill. Very cool of him. I don't know who he is but if a cool old guy rocking a Mercedes AMG SUV is reading this thanks for breakfast. Also there is a super hot waitress there. She kept smiling at me every time she passed and I don't know if she was flirting or just being friendly but wow

My previous experience at this location was absolutely terrific. Today? Awful. The waitress didn't care enough to listen to my order and further didn't ask for clarification on my order or repeat the order back to our table like the waitress before did. She just put in what she thought she heard. When the food came out my order was half correct and my hashbrowns were filled with onions that made it inedible. I won't be back to this location and I definitely would warn everyone to make sure their waitress repeats their order or they will be severely disappointed.
