You don't go to Waffle House for a fancy experience with multiple courses. You don't go to Waffle House for $5 coffee with your scone or pumpkin loaf. You go for nostalgia, for a glimpse of a past which still lives in the present. You go for the comfort that it's always there, tastes good, and leaves you feeling like you've been home.
I go here all the time after work for a to-go. I have a strangely specific order and they always accommodate it. Always nice, sometimes have a chat while I wait, and make sure I have everything I need before I go. Just went tonight and gotta say, whoever made my order tonight made the best damn hash browns I’ve ever had here. I’ve never had bad hashbrowns here, but hashbrowns are unpredictable and sometimes you get some burnt edges or uneven cheese coverage. But the ones I got tonight were perfectly covered with no crusty bits and the eggs were perfect too. So good man, thanks for the perfect post work dinner!
