Let me start of by saying I have eaten Italian food before (both in America and in Europe) and this restaurant wasn’t good. The desserts were especially bad. However, the worst thing was the service. We came 4 people, ordered food, then dessert, and then coffee. Naturally, we sat there for about 1:30 hrs. After we finished our main course, we could feel the waitresses/waiters giving us looks for us to leave the restaurant. A waitress came in and took our desserts while we were still working on them. Shortly after, one of the waitress came and left the check on the table. We hadn’t asked for the check yet. Also, the waitress didn’t say anything. If they had tried to soften it by saying “here is your check, I am just leaving it here, you can take it whenever you are ready,” I wouldn’t be offended at all. Moreover, the restaurant was not busy, they had empty tables and multiple waitresses so I don’t understand the rudeness. We had a guest with us who was new to Miami and we wanted to have
Restaurant Villagio is the last restaurant located at Village of Merrick Park We have tried ALL of them and here my opinion about restaurant Villagio - The Meatballs was good - The tapanada was good (small plate of sauce - The Chicken Piccata was ok but not good - The pizza was NOT GOOD at all and tasteless - The Lemon Tart was average Overall it’s OK if you’re hungry and in the area and you don’t have a reservation This place will probably take you as walk in
Very good Italian restaurant in Merrick Park. The outdoor seating especially nice is weather permits. Had the fried calamari n zucchini starter and was pleasantly surprised by how large the portion was. The breadbasket had delicious whole meal bread. I asked and they sell it retail next door. Very professional and prompt service. A great place to have a break if your partner wants to shop for much longer than you do.
