TLAHCO MEXICAN KITCHEN

While traveling to San Antonio on business. I was recommended to Tlahco by a local and I must say this was an authentic Mexican restaurant. I'm not certain if this is the only location. However, it recently opened near hwy 281 in North Central San Antonio. I ordered bistec nachos, torta, and sope and my colleagues ordered different dishes. The orchata is delicious if you like Aguas frescas. This spot is legit and a must try.

Where do I start ? Disappointed, disorganized, tasteless, careless, expensive to say the least. Try it if dare. I feel sorry for the owner investing in a place that gives mole with chicken that was beyond dry (possibly taken out of freezer and microwaved) which I sent back and just look at that normal size quesadilla with “roasted peppers” and half portion cheese yep it cost $7 ! …unbelievably disappointed I obviously tipped my waiter as this is no fault of his own. Still the same careless place I visited 2 years ago !

My husband had the Enmoladas the sauce was delicious and Sope De Pastor. I had Pollo Al Carbon amazing. The chicken was tender juicy and delicious we will be back again. We also got a churro but It didn’t last for me to take a picture. The house margarita was on point not bad for five dollars.
