Tijuana Flats

Sat in the lobby waiting 45 minutes after the ready time. People who were eating in ordered after my ready time got their food before I did. They were not busy maybe 3 people in the resturant. When I got home with my food, one of the orders was wrong and the other was missing half the meal. I requested a callback and two weeks later still no callback... Don't waste you money on less than average food.

Working while in town and decided to stop by. I’m familiar with the establishment so I knew what to expect. They had a couple new items on the menu so I would give them a shot. They have three new salsa’s their regular, a medium chipotle and a hot habanero. I decided on trying the habanero after I asked if it was HOT and the girl didn’t know. Me usually these “HOT” at these establishments are not that hot and I was correct. It did have a kick most would think is too hot. It was also a little runny and not a salsa. I would have been better off grabbing the medium chipotle for the texture and grabbing something to add some heat. Lesson learned. My wife grabbed some queso. We also got three beef hard shell tacos each and a bag of chips and salsa. They were the real highlight. Looked good and definitely good portions of beef and toppings each. I’d recommend this but I’d avoid the “hot” runny habanero and do as I suggested. Party on.

The food here (Palm Bay Rd Location) is usually better than the other one in Viera. I'd say the one on Wickham near Sarno Rd. (Melbourne) is the best in the area. The Palm Bay location hard shell tacos are sometimes not fully baked but their other items have always been the Tijuana Flats standard we enjoy. The general attitude and kindness of the staff at Palm Bay are about 80% positive based on all the times I've visited. The Melbourne and Viera locations have them beat on overall customer satisfaction. Palm Bay location store has always been clean and tidy. Never had a parking issue and the wait has never been long. Lately, the amount of chips you get with your meal has been significantly less than before. Vegetarian options: They have substitutions for non meat eaters. Kid-friendliness: Family style eating environment. Wheelchair accessibility: Standard ADA guidelines seem to be met.
