Super cool neighborhood restaurant with a full bar option. Decided to give these guys a try simply because of its name. ???? The barbecue menu is great for anyone who like to eat. As always I have decided to order way too much so I had a chance to try burned ends, ribs, pulled pork and tri-tip with fries and coleslaw. All delicious especially since I have paired it with an old fashioned from the bar.
Wow is all i can say! This place is such a gem. We were staying in an air bnb within walking distance and stopped. The air was out when we visited (a rare occurrence I’m sure) but the service was still phenomenal. We tried the smoked wings, pulled pork and duck breast. All were very flavorful and high quality. I’d recommend this place to anyone!
We wanted to find a beloved local joint for dinner on our road trip through St Louis and ran across The Shaved Duck Smokehouse. It had a warm, funky vibe and we knew it was going to be a fun time. We ordered the special smoked bacon encrusted with walnuts to start and then I ordered a burnt end sandwich with slaw and their daily veggie special, the flash fried brussels with hoisin sauce. My hubs ordered the smoked meatloaf with a side of fries both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. We wish we could’ve explored the cocktails but we had more driving to do. Great find!
