This is our favorite place to go to brunch. It's well worth the hour drive it takes to get here, for sure. We've only ever been for brunch, but everything we've ever had has been fantastic. As a slight aside, my litmus test for a good brunch place is if they're able to make shrimp and grits taste luxurious, and this place definitely delivers. My fiancée had the brunch burger last time and said it was the best one she'd ever had.
I really wanted to like this upscale eatery but unfortunately it is a mixed bag. We arrived at around 10am and asked for a table outside (70% open still). Were told that all of the tables are reserved and we'll have to sit inside. Not a problem, even though they sat us right next to the servers' desk in the back of the restaurant. Ordered two coffees and waited about 10 minutes for it. Then ordered the waffles and The Select Benedict. Took only a few minutes to arrive , which was excellent, but unfortunately the Benedict's eggs were cold. Overall not the best experience and don't think we'll be back. Also, as we left all of the tables outsider were still open. Ambiance/Setting: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 3/5
Came here recently for brunch. Jonathan gave us great service. Sat outside, because the weather was great. I had the French toast entree, but we started with the jumbo cinnamon roll. When I tell you it was HUGE...it was so big. Three of us ate off of it, and we all still took some home. The french toast was challah bread, and it had a slight crunch. It was also excellent. Jonathan had some margaritas made that were good and strong as well. The place got really busy after 1pm, so make a reservation, and come before then if you want a weekend brunch. I'd highly recommend them too.
