From what I learned the kitchen close by 11:00 p.m. also there was plenty of seating yet they may behave as if they are full or too capacity. The food was actually really good started off with the cod fish fritters and the jerk wings. I had the Scotch bonnet pepper shrimp which came with rice and cabbage and plantains and the person I was with had the curry goat with the rice and peas and cabbage and plantains. By the time we left my plate was practically clean they definitely give decent portions the other person was able to bring some home. I also enjoyed the specialty drink pineapple Ginger margarita just a suggestion get an extra shot. Service was very pleasant but a little slow but the food made up for it.

That macaroni looks good but tastes very strange… kind of like chicken ramen noodles. If you order the coconut shrimp you’ll only get 5 and they’ll taste like they came from the frozen food isle. Overall the drinks were well made and most of the bar staff were kind … notice I say most. If you want Jamaican food in Hartford you’d be better off going to a smaller authentic business.

The food was good. I ordered a pasta dish with keek shrimp that was very tasty. The atmosphere was friendly and intimate, yet it is a large restaurant. The decor is beautiful. The seats were comfortable and well spaced apart. The service was attentive and pleasant. However, the music kept getting and louder and my companions and I had to shout to hear each other. That really was the only downside for me. Others may find it enjoyable, but it was distracting. I later realized we were seated below a hanging speaker. I'll watch out for that next time. I would recommend this restaurant in downtown Hartford. Parking: After 6 pm parking is free, hurry so you don't have to park too far. Otherwise, paid parking is steps away.
