Fornarelli's

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. You get the best service, and delicious authentic Italian food here 100%! I’ve tried several different things from the menu and each time I’ve been extremely satisfied. You can tell the ingredients are super fresh when you taste each meal. If you’re looking for a great food experience, look no further. I gladly recommend Fornarelli’s to everyone!

Restaurant is divided between cozy bar and spacious dining room. Nice menu of Italian standards with their chef's style. I had paparadella Bolognese with a house salad and the bread in the photo. I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon to watch football with some friends and was happy to see it was open. When you look the place up on Google it says that it is closed on Sundays but a sign outside the restaurant says that they are open before, during and after UConn games. Lucky for me there was a UConn game that day! The free weekend street parking in Hartford is definitely something to take advantage of if you don't mind a short walk. The inside is decorated inside fine and all the servers and bartenders said hello immediately. They were attentive and checked on me frequently. If you are a gin drinker they only have Bombay and Beefeater at the bar, just something to keep in mind, but overall I got a good drink. The food was good, needed a bit of salt but overall good. I would just say that for the price I would have liked a bit more food. Also, the Sunday menu was different than the lunch and dinner menu online. I'm assuming its smaller because they aren't typically open Sunday
