Would have loved to get a chance to try the food here but we were unable to ever be seated and their treatment of guests left us not wanting to ever go back. We arrived at 6:30 last Friday and requested an outside seat. The hostess said no problem, it would be about an hour and took our name and number. We walked around downtown Apex for a while and grabbed a bench to sit and wait. Finally around 7:45 we went back to check on our spot in line. The hostess said that we would be unable to be seated before close outside because the outside guests were taking too long and that they had meant to call us but forgot to. We were flabbergasted by this type of treatment. We understand places being too busy to get at table at, that happens all the time. But you can't agree to seat people and have them wait around over an hour and never give them an indication that they won't be seated. If you're too full that's fine, let us know upfront and we'll search for another place and try your restau

I wish we had discovered this gem earlier! We dined outside. They have about 8 outdoor tables, maybe more. Everything was delicious, but we found the lamb chops and the carrot cake to be particular standouts. They made their own caramel for the carrot cake garnish--the waitress told me they even make their own ice cream. Menu changes daily, so you have to check Facebook or Instagram for up-to-date selections. Service was friendly. We were able to dine without reservations, but I would call to make sure there is a table before going. There is a public parking lot behind the plaza where the restaurant is located, bit it was full by 7pm on a Wednesday when we left the restaurant. We look forward to returning!

This is my second time dining at The Provincial, both times with a large group of friends and both times very impressed. The menu is always changing from day to day so best to check online if you’re looking for a specific dish. Our group had a great server she was attentive without being intrusive. I really liked the array of appetizers all made fresh and tasty. The drinks were well balanced and delicious. My main dish was the hanger steak with whipped potatoes and roasted carrots. All cooked to perfection and seasoned expertly. I can’t wait for my third visit.
