First time visiting St Louis so I wanted to go to a historical place to eat. A locals favorite. I wasn't very disappointed but it could have been better. But for the area there aren't many choices. I had the shrimp fettuccine and salad. The shrimp where a nice size not those popcorn shrimp. The sauce was good just a little too thick. Just glad it wasn't water down. I enjoyed the fettuccine. I had a salad with cesar dressing tasted like a homemade version that lack the Cesar taste. It was mainly water down mayo and the lettuce wasn't fresh. Which was very disappointing for an Italian restaurant. The loaf of bread was nice and warm. I finished the dinner off with ice-cream.

Food was excellent. Service was horrible. Servers were full of excuses. We never received our bread with our meal. My beverage was brought at the end while we were finishing our ice cream. They were short handed and I get that but they only filled so many tables to accommodate the staff … More

Very historic old building that is the best part of the experience. The food was expensive and just ok. With two kids we waited a very long time to get a table and were ignored. Once helped the waitress was great, but it took literally 15 minutes before we were seated, and another 15 before we were served.
