When entering the atmosphere was chill… Server and workers were pleasant. The food was nice. We enjoyed the surprise colorful drink! However I asked for NO onions and tomatoes and the server advised it was no problem. I explained they are huge triggers for my migraines and again she said no problem. The bottom of my lobster contained onions and the manager had them make another one; AGAIN it contained onions. My husband asked for discount and was advised unable to do so for lobster so of course we requested another one without vegetables and FINALLY no onions… on our way home w my migraine…this location we will not be trying again.

A Google search made me aware of The Licking while visiting Orlando during a Workcation. Amber, one of the servers, introduced me to the menu and shared recommendations of her favorites. She also gave me some history of The Licking. The menu selections were a tough choice as they looked good and Amber made them sound really good. I had the fried flounder with collards and yams. I chose a mystery frozen drink to wash it all down. Summer, another server delivered the goodies piping hot. The serving was more than ample and very good. The facility is colorful and nicely decorated. They have some good beats playing in the background. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Licking was a good choice for Soul Food.
