A-Aki Sushi & Steakhouse - Florida Mall

We were cordially greeted, and they sat 7 of us very quickly. The Teppenyaki side was extremely busy with a couple of large groups, but we just wanted to sit in the regular dining room. We were only given 2 menus, so we asked for more. Our drink order came out in decent time. 1 person ordered the unlimited sushi and the rest of us ordered off the menu. We ordered some bento boxes and teppenyaki plates. The sushi, soups, and salads all came out rather quickly. Then, 1 bento box arrived. 5 min later another plate of food arrived. After 3 people received their food, we waited at least 20 minutes for the other plates to slowly come out. The food was good but the kitchen time was very slow. This restaurant is not close to my house but if I'm that way again, I would probably stop and give them a second try.

I’ve dined here 5 times & the first 3 times were great! But the last 2 times were awful. If you have this man as your chef, WALK OUT!!!! The food will be over cooked, under seasoned, and there’s no classic hibachi entertainment. No sake, no veggie tossing, and no basic table tricks. I used a Groupon these last 2 times so that makes me think this restaurant assigns this terrible chef for people who are looking for a deal. I will not be returning here. The waiters who deliver the soup/salad/drinks are wonderful but this particular chef does not know what he’s doing. Go ahead and gamble, maybe you’ll get a better chef- I have before! But this particular man is NOT worth your time or money.

It’s a good All you can eat Restaurant. They give you a “ menu” where you can choose as much or little as you want. You don’t have to stand up to pick up food like a normal all-you-can-eat. Ambience is dark. Price is 29.95 p/adult.. kids is around 19.95. They also have Karaoke nights.
