The Grit Counter - North Charleston

Excellent food is really all you need to know. Delicious grit bowls with many options along with a full bar. Easy order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I got the bowl with fried oysters, collard greens and broiled brussel sprouts and it was delicious. Only problem was I needed a nap before driving back to Jacksonville.

Our first time was during the visit to North Charleston yesterday. The minute you walk into the front door, the smell of food open your sense, once you get to the order counter you also can see the simi open kitchen that eyes can not say no. The food were delicious and well portion. OMG...Southern cooking to its best. A must try if you are in the area. Highly recommended!

We are huge fans of Grace and Grit in Mt. Pleasant and this is our first time trying The Grit Counter. As expected, the food here is excellent! We placed an order over the phone and picked up our food. The website's online order system still has the Mt. Pleasant address on it, so I'm not sure if that works for the North Charleston location. We got the Shrimp and Grits bowl and the BLT bowl. Both were fantastic! The Shrimp and Grits bowl is amazing, as expected. The grits were so creamy and the shrimp they used were so fresh. The BLT bowl was a very pleasant surprise and quite an explosion of flavors and textures. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu!
