We started with the bacon and it was really tasty. A perfect blend of spice and sweetness. Then everyone ordered the chicken. The chicken is really really good but the sides could be better. The succotash was under seasoned; it had all the right ingredients but lacked flavor. The Mac n cheese also lacked flavor, the cheese sauce was very rich but lacked any depth in flavor. It needed salt or spice or something other than just having a lot of cheese. I would give it another try because the chicken and the hot honey were both really really tasty.
This fried chicken was moist and crunchy, it was a good portion. It’s seasoned well, usually people add hot sauce or I add ranch and it really wasnt needed. The Mac was unique, I liked it, I had some of my cousins fries and their fry sauce which was so good. Would like to come back for more! The restaurant has seating indoors and outdoors.
I’ve been here once before for drinks and not food; nonetheless, this time is the time that matters. It was a busy Saturday night, so the 20 minute wait was expected, so we walked over to the Exchange Bar while we waited. We got seated and our waitress, Em*ly, was really nice. We started with some drinks and then got into the food. The drinks were definitely a bit larger than expected. Overall food, drinks and experience… meh Photo 1: Blackberry lemonade Very refreshing. A smooth fruity flavor, but nothing was more overpowering that the next. Could have used a little more lemonade, but no complaints. Photo 2: Bourbon punch Definitely has a little punch to it. Was a bit syrupy, but the flavors mixed well and it tasted good! If you’re a bourbon drinker, this is definitely on the sweeter side. Not too much though. Photo 3: 1/2 a chicken Chicken was decent. It definitely wasn’t my grandma’s or even my mom’s chicken, but it was decent. Tastes like some white people are trying their hardest
