Just an incredible meal! Hard to describe, but each course was absolutely divine! And they all flowed so well together, each item paired harmoniously with what came before it. The staff was super attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Thank you for an absolutely amazing dinner experience!
Wonderful experience. Opted for the prix fixe menu at the bar with one more person so we each got to try two apps and mains, and it was incredible at every turn. Warm, friendly, and informative service as well. Very much worth it!
We visited as part of our Michelin-star dining tour in DC. Lovely restaurant, with a cuisine that beautifully combines red meats with fruit and herbs. The first course zucchini fritters and the smoked eggplant was interesting but certainly not exceptional or profound or complex. My seasonal Maryland crab soup was reminiscent of a minestrone, with a tasty tomato broth and nice herbs but somewhat under-seasoned. The duck was exceptional and very tender and the peppermint leaf that accompanied it and the fresh fruits provided a fresh and complex gastronomic experience. The sticky pudding toffee pudding made me literally drool. I would visit for the bar menu. Cocktails tend to be close to $20 for lower self liquor, if I remember correctly.
