Texas Toms

First thing you need to understand is, no one goes to Texas Tom's to abide by any healthy diet. You go there to fulfill your greasy, fried food cravings. That being said: This place hits the spot! They were out of tea and I'm STILL giving them 5 stars. We had the giant tenderloin and the seafood basket. At first I thought they had undersold the "giant" tenderloin, but then I realized that 1/4-1/3 of it was folded under itself. Not sure if this was accidental or intentional, because if it was intentional, it actually made the tenderloin fit the bun. I guess I could have unfolded it, but it was too delicious to worry about. The fish and shrimp were both piping hot and words cannot do justice to just how good the fish was. On point!! Did not care for (what I think was) their version of shrimp sauce, but I don't eat much shrimp sauce anyway. I just like to taste the shrimp. Typically, I don't tend to prefer fatter fries, but theirs work. Perfect amount of salt. We tried it on the recommend

Food was great!! Never been before. Potatoes tasted home made. I am from Iowa and know my corn and the corn on the cob tasted like it just came out of a garden and cooked to perfection!! Biscuit was nice and soft!! Only thing is husband says fish was a little soft and should be cooked just a little longer but said it was good!! I would highly recommend this place!!

Something has changed. The older gentleman at the window on Friday evenings is rude and doesn't give large drinks that come with the meals. Gives medium drinks with tons of ice, so drink is empty in like 3 sips. I asked for cocktail sauce with my fish, last two times and was told "ya ya ya..." And no sauce. We eat here fairly often as it is a good variety of food and close to home. Huge servings of food and fairly inexpensive. We have introduced many friends to this hidden gem because it's such an awesome variety of food and everything is good.
