SUGARFIRE I selected Burnt Ends and Brisket w/ baked beans ( 2 color beans light and dark in a sweet savory sauce) and potato salad ( big chunks of potato in mayonnaise base with diced celery and a touch of mustard) as my sides with red beans and rice as an add on and PICKLES my fave were complimentary and a non- alcoholic Pina Colada to wash it all down. The service from the guys behind the counter serving was friendly, funny welcoming and helpful. I explained it was my first time and I recieved a sample of burnt ends (slightly fatty end pieces of the brisket cut in cubes) SUPER FLAVORFUL ???? when I questioned were they fatty. It solidified my decision instantly, further down the line I sampled the red beans and rice ( spicy and loaded with sausage, peppers and seasonings.... I even detected cumin and really liked it in the beans despite ever having that before and upon suggestion made it an add on side. SO SO happy I did. Loved the brisket, apple pie and rice! The line was so long to get our food and order because of how popular this place is and the huge window hall had no cooling so we were getting toasty. I'd do it again for that meat! … More
Key points: Food and price. The quality is amazing and it is def more for what you pay. The service is similar to a to-go restaurant, but this one has plenty of seat and the atmosphere ask you to stay. The soft drink selection is as good as it gets. I love the concept and def will be back for more.
