Sugar Hill Distillery

I really wanted to love this place. Stopped in for a bite to eat after attending their plant sale. They were a bit busy but no wait to sit down. We placed our orders fairly quickly and that’s when things started to go downhill. We ordered appetizers, cheese curds and poutine. It took about 30 mins for the food to come and it all basically came out at once. Entrees and appetizer. I say appetizer because the cheese curds never made it out. We asked the waitress to just remove it from the bill since all of the food was out at that point. I had the chicken wings and fries. I requested well done chicken wings but they were clearly not well done (or seasoned). I’m the kind of person that doesn’t like meaty or juicy or pink chicken wings. If you are, then you’ll like these. The hand cut fries were perfect. I ordered beer cheese but the menu didn’t say that bacon bits were in the soup so, since I don’t eat pork, I couldn’t eat the cheese. (My husband did tho.) We spent $77 before tip for 2 ad

We started out with the Smashed Axel to drink and the Giant Pretzel ???? This was one of the best pretzels we’ve ever had and it came with honey mustard, beer cheese, and stone ground mustard. Followed by round two of drinks Zach got the Hefeweizen and I got the whiskey on the rocks. Next was dinner in which we got the Reuben and the Bratwurst. Both were delicious! This place has such a fun vibe and great food and drinks. Whether you’re just hanging out for an afternoon drink or getting dinner, this is a MUST!

Great beer great food great atmosphere. Ann Marie makes the best mixed drinks and love her attitude. She was the best. Will definitely be returning!!
