Steak 'n Shake

When they reopened I was excited, being an over 50 year fan of the brand. They have been open for some time and I really used to enjoy the dining room experience. Once apon a time with China, service and a great product. A far cry from that now. At this location the condiment counter is always dirty, tables need a wipe down and almost always do it myself. The music is over the top bad, every time I go. Not a fan. And then the product. Much smaller burger…just not the same. All that being said, I hate to say I am done with the brand. Would be happy to pay 10 bucks for the old Steak and shake I loved, but it’s gone.

Second time I've tried this place. First time, I asked for Chili Mac Supreme, "Yes, we have it." Got noodles and meat sauce, no cheese, no onions. And they had just opened and they said they were "out" of unsweetened tea, but they had sweet tea?? Went today and the burger was barely recognizable, barely warm and the tea literally looked dirty. I thought there were possibly tea leaves in it, so I took a SMALL sip to be sure and it was AWFUL. Threw the whole order in the trash. Won't go back.

I was disappointed with this experience. We dined in and ordered from the kiosk. It was different but we all have to adapt to today's challenges. What we shouldn't have to adapt to is rudeness. I asked the person who delivered the food for an extra bag of crackers and was told no. I only get 2. And she didn't say it nice, she snapped. We won't be going back. I understand policy but try to be nice about it.
