South City Kitchen Vinings 1675 Cumberland Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 First time at South City Kitchen In Vining's. The Gps kinda bugged out on me when finding this location. However on to the review. Our waiter was Matt, he was amazing very attentive to our table since we have a small group celebrating a birthday party . Below are pictures of the various, foods that we ordered. Honestly, I am not a huge fan of Tomato just by themselves. But I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes and they were simply amazing ????. The food over all was well seasoned and the complementary biscuits were amazing. I would suggest to see if they have Honey available trust me it will change your life. The restrooms was clean and didn't have a horrible smell. Parking is free since it is in a plaza. Pros - Food is amazing, the Staff is very friendly. Cons - Portions size and drinks can get costly starting at $12 per drink. Overall - 9/10 Est. EightyThree
First time in 4 years (since Covid) going back to South City Kitchen. They have not lost a step! Their signature dish is Fried Chicken and it is the most moist, flavorful chicken that I’ve ever had. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The collards and potatoes were also great. Hubby had the Nashville Hot Fish and be warned, it is HOT! Suggest getting the hot sauce on the side. Appetizer was the Boudin fritter (also quite spicy) with a nice side salad of arugula and pickled onions. Took a minute to get our drinks. Had a glass of Cabernet and a Moscow Mule. The dessert was a pleasant surprise. Chocolate Chess Pie with house made whipped cream. Can’t wait to go back. Wish they were open for lunch!!!
The perfect dining experience for our group of 8. We wanted to relaxed, catch up, and enjoy a great meal. They didn't didisappoint, and they have a great wine selection too! Our group ordered: she-crab soup, brussel sprouts, barbecue shrimp, cab steak, Nashville hot fried fish, duck, and carolina trout. The trout is the only dish we voted not to repeat. The portions were too small for the guys. Our waiter Eric was extremely patient, courteous, and fun. It's always great when a server likes their job! He even took 4 pics without asking of our group. It's a classy place. Casual dress acceptable. Although, I never miss an opportunity be chic????
