best noddles in the Upper west and also a great ramen

My friend and I were asked to move from our table to accommodate other guests and there was some kind of debris in my friends water. There was also an unpleasant odor in my water glass that smelled kind of fishy. It just did not make for a good experience, considering I spent nearly $60 on two appetizers and 2 entrees. Honestly, the food was ok but overpriced. We had the scallion pancakes, dumplings in chili oil, dan dan noodles and ramen. The server also took the itemized receipt away, when I provided my card which I thought was odd. I was expecting a way better experience here, considering the reviews. I don't think I'll be back.

Simply Noodles has taken over the former Kitakata Ramen spot (RIP). I ordered the classic rice noodle with pork. Overall it tasted fine but nothing out of this world though I should have opted for another meat in retrospect. Maybe I'll try the beef next time. We also had a side of dumpling on spicy oil which was again fine but nothing amazing. So overall, it's a spot to get some noodles and would consider going by again to try other options. Overall though, not sure how it achieved such a high rating as anything over four stars is something that I would consider a must-go for everyone.
