Ships Cafe Restaurant and Crab House

Fantastic seafood! My wife and I split the seafood Platter and a friend got the fish and chips! They are also known for crabs ????. Several tables had lots of crabs piled high!

Came to this local restaurant for good fish and chips- well it was $13 and it was very mediocre. The fries were the frozen type and fried. The fish was flaccid and chewy somehow. Service- we sat for 5 minutes- yes I timed it- before being engaged. We waited again for over 5 minutes for the check. I was hit a few times by flying crab shells and parts by the neighbors eating crabs with mallets- we did not have any crabs. The check came and they already added 18% for the horrible service- and we were 2 people! I really think the only reason this place stays in business is the fact that they have crabs. Pic of chipped plastic water cup and utensils was to show how old and chipped the cup was and how cheap and thin the utensils are. If you want bad service, mediocre food, and forced tips - come here and eat heartily! Otherwise avoid this place.

I've eaten here several times with friends and loved ones. The food is superb bar none. I'm big on customer service, so that's the first thing that I observe. Everyone was spot on. The crabs are heavy and above size for whatever is available. For instance, they only had medium on my last visit. They looked like large at other restaurants I've visited and talk about heavy, they were that and more. I also had the seafood nachos that were phenomenal. My party and I were totally and had enough to take home for another meal. Ships rocks!!!
