Ruben's Empanadas

I got the combo that includes a soda or water and adds chorizo. The food was very very good. The chorizo in particular had such a balanced flavor and paired very well with the rice and beans. The gentleman behind the counter is very friendly and portions are also quite generous. I did not expected to find a homestyle Latino restaurant tucked in at the southern tip of the FiDi but I am pleasantly surprised and will definitely be coming back to try out all the other empanada styles.

Wonderful service and food! My friend and I go here every now and then, and the service is always top notch. Really welcoming place, and the food is amazing! He was nice enough to let me take a picture of him for my photography project too. The tinga and beef empanadas are our favorites :) P.S: He plays dope movies on the TV!

Anytime I'm in the area and need a quick, delicious bite to eat, I stop at Rubens's. Fresh for tasty empanadas and warm, friendly service. The sausage is my favorite. So glad to see this little shop is still here.
