I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mad Dog Mexican Restaurant located on Pearl Street in the Financial District of Manhattan, and I must say it was a fantastic experience! From start to finish, everything was top-notch and deserving of a 5-star review. The Chips & Salsa appetizer was an absolute delight, with fresh tortilla chips that were perfectly crispy and not too salty. The accompanying pico de gallo burst with flavor and complemented the chips perfectly. It was a great way to kick off the meal and whet my appetite for what was to come. I ordered The Tacos de Pollo for my entree, which was simply fantastic. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the toppings of lettuce, pico de gallo, and fresh cheese added the perfect freshness and flavor. The rice and black beans side dish was a great addition and made the meal even more fulfilling. I also ordered a soda drink, which came quickly in a glass with ice, and I must say it was pretty enjoyable. The beverage was perfectly chilled
Chicken chimichanga was delicious. Never had chicken like that before in a Mexican restaurant. Red sangria was good, but nothing special. Service was disappointing though. I had to keep trying to flag down the waitress. The restaurant was probably half full but she never stopped by on her own after the food was dropped off.
Ordered the chicken burrito, chips and guac, sweet corn, veggie burrito and pinch margarita. Everything was great, the guac was especially fresh and nice. Great food and ambience.
