We had a great lunch at Red Gravy. We arrived a little late for lunch (around 2:30) so the place was pretty empty but by the time we left around 4:00PM it had filled up quite a bit. The food was outstanding! The Veal Saltimbocca was fantastic with the risotto and brown butter sauce. The Linguine and Clams was superb as well - real clams and a flavorful sauce. The toasted risotto balls had a good amount of cheese in the middle and the sauce was outstanding as well. Red Gravy also has a small but good wine collection. Go eat and enjoy some good food. You’ll thank me. ????
Braised Short Rib Ravioli - a must try! Almost gave 5 stars, as staff is very kind and patient, but overall service is slow. Honestly everything my family and I tried, we enjoyed. A little loud, so maybe not the spot those looking for a quiet date night would end up, but good for couples, families, friends, really many types of diners. Dipping garlic bread in tomato soup, instead of traditional marinara, spot on. I suggest making a reservation, but remember to note what type of table you want/need, because they have a fair share of high top table, which may not work for those with little ones. You can park at metered parking in Downtown Colorado Springs or simply in the Parking Garage that is about half a block away, you will need to cross a street.
Beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. I'm gluten free and it seems like such a little thing, but the waitress saying gluten free as she sat the cheese bread and fettuccine alfredo down is such a comfort. I never would have guessed either one of those things were gluten free because they tasted so so incredible. Can't wait to go back.
