Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar - Colorado Springs

Jax is always on point. Since we discovered this little gem, we’ve been coming at least once a week. I am from California and I know my seafood. Everything is very fresh and high-quality, which is is very challenging for a state, like Colorado in the middle of the country. The manager, Tom, makes a point to come by and greet us every time and knows us! Chef Juan takes comfort food to a whole new level, cooking up some of the best gumbo and cornbread I’ve ever had, and I was raised by parents from Louisiana! Everyone is very friendly & hospitable and makes a point to get to know you as a person. Happy hour is a great value with lots of great food and drink choices. They serve sustainable and organic wine, as well as a variety of cocktails & beers. By far one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs and I do not mind making the 30 minute drive because it’s that good. Shout out to our favorite server, John, for his genuine, attentive hospitality.

This restaurant is amazing we love their oysters!! We always have excellent service and this is always our go to when wanting a wonderful date night out. This is the best hands down oyster restaurant in the country!

I love how the food was high-quality and the atmosphere was relaxed. We celebrated my husband's birthday by treating him to some of the best seafood he's had in a while (I don't eat seafood, so this is his opinion)! He got oysters (he was surprised and delighted at how meaty they were), mussels (he thoroughly enjoyed the quantity), calamari (he said it was the best in town), scallops (he thought they were tasty and high-quality) while I loved their fries, tiny little ciabatta rolls, and the butternut squash. We shared the special strawberry and chocolate cake, washing everything down with some drinks. I loved the pineapple ginger slinger and my husband enjoyed a local IPA. I recommend their happy hour specials especially, but honestly this place is worth checking out anytime. Thank you Sara(h) for the lovely service!
