I have often gotten a breakfast sandwich or a wrap on Saturdays at Rancks, after my over 55 group’s morning coffee at the Fareway. Many times I have patiently waited when staff have gotten to people who got to the counter after me. I started to move from the open counter area to place my order with staff as soon as they were finished with the customer before me. Staff are generally pleasant and courteous, except for the owner. Although others would be asked if they wanted their sandwich or wrap cut in half, I usually have needed to request it. Also, I would see the owner giving people paper plates, but not me. The hash browns are deep fried like French fries and saturated with oil. As a result, I have politely and appreciatively asked for extra napkins to blot them. I also ask for only one piece of cheese instead of the customary two. I have always had to ask for a bag, especially if I have gotten a beverage to carry out.
