Update: Still open for pickup (or delivery) during the pandemic. The quality is still tops. And I am so thankful to get my kimchi fix! I'm Korean American and love this place so much. You can tell they take care to do everything right. Bulgogi (marinated grilled beef) in the bibimbap (mixed rice, fried egg, and veg) is always amazing. And if you order bibimbap, make sure to add gochujang (chilli sauce). They also make the best fried mandu (dumplings). Saves me a trip to Seoul. Changed chef and ownership in late 2018 (my review is for the current chef), so keep that in mind when reading the older reviews. The current quality is excellent and very consistent. And they're really nice. We've been eating there since they changed hands.
Discovered this place with my ex BF over the last year ice bar Chestnut Hill brewery event. We tried the sweet and spicy boneless wings and were hooked. Best Korean wings I’ve had. We made it our spot and kept coming back. Were tempted to try something else from the menu, but that sweet and spicy chicken was darn good, so we sticked to it. My ex and I didn’t last. I had a first date with my current BF at the same spot over the same chicken. My new BF was hooked, too. This is our special spot now. Today we’re celebrating 6 months together, he’s on his way to pick up sweet and spicy chicken... New year, new boyfriend, but same chicken! Thanks Chicko Tako, much love and digital kudos!
I got takeout here for the first time this weekend and really like everything. I think we got takos, a rice bowl, dumplings, and boneless chicken bites. Everything was really tasteful, the vegetables were fresh, etc. I would definitely order again.
