Between the Lavender Lemonade from Poppy’s Cafe. The sticky bun from Barry’s Buns. And some beef and chicken dumplings from Momo I barely had the forethought to snap a picture. lol All the food is phenomenal and the space is welcoming. That’s just a comfortable, wondering air about the place for me that I cannot compare to anywhere.
Barry Bun's acts on excellence. They offer fresh baked offerings. The price is right. The service is on point. The sticky buns are soft, sweet and satisfying. They are abundant and for you if you want it. Chocolate chip cake, cookies, and goods galore. That was my reason for visiting this market. The place is close, warm, and inviting for,any of your food needs.
Was in Philly to visit friends for the weekend. After a short stroll through Gernmantown, we stopped at the Market at the Fareway for lunch. Our friends recently discovered Hoser’s and wanted us to try their vegetarian tacos. Because of the rotating, seasonal menu, Hoser’s had a completely different offering. We ordered the French onion soup, mushroom stew, brussel sprouts, and pierogies. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The standout was the soup; it had a deep, dark, caramel flavor that was comforting against the nor’easter snow falling. Hoser’s was such a delightful find with its quality food and incredible flavors. I hope more people discover and support this place. Not pictured: really yummy chocolate chip cookies (was too excited for dessert and gobbled it all up before I could take a snap).
