Ponsawan Thai Cuisine

Had a good dinner here. We ordered curry duck, pad see ewe, and they were delicious. Very friendly, attentive waitresses. Will come back to try other items on menu

I normally love this place, it’s been my go to for Pad Thai since moving to the area, but tonight I’m pretty disappointed. When you order an entree with chicken in it, you expect there to be a normal serving of chicken. For almost $14 dollars an entree I should not have to dig through the bowl just to see if there is any chicken in there. We really didn’t think there was any when we first opened our bowl. The other issue is when we called to say something they said they portion the meat by weight, but that obviously isn’t the case here because there was nothing consistent about our meals. If you’re going to use the price of ingredients as an excuse raise your prices slightly and give a full serving of protein. This is disappointing and makes me not want to spend the money on a bowl of mostly noodles. It’ll be a while till I return if this is the case.

Tried a new [for me] Thai place at Washington St and Hwy 7 in Thornton. Ponsawan Thai Cuisine. I started with the Thai iced tea and fish cakes. Both were really good. It’s interesting how different this was from Japanese fish cake. The pad Thai with chicken was amazing. Subtly but distinctly different from ones I’ve had before. The noodles were almost but not quite mushy but the flavor was incredible. The sticky rice with mango was good but while ripe the mangos were not great. Everything was plated beautifully and the service was great. I definitely want to try other things on the menu but I always like to try my standards the first time.
